A sweet Christmas story about a father who sacrifices a gift he longs to give himself because of his love for his wife and children. Of course he ends up with the greatest gift. A charming vintage story, so well written, I could see it being acted in my head as I read it with Jimmy Stewart and Maureen O’Hara as the parents.
