I devoured this book in a day!!! It may be my favorite so far! Felicityโ€™s feisty personality was perfect! I think she may be my favorite female character so far, which is saying a lot, because Devney Perry knows how to write some strong, feisty women. Every book in series is just perfectly done and told beautifully. I found myself feeling all the feels with this book. I did not want it to end. Absolutely recommend this book and he entire series to any and everyone!!!

Felicity has come back to Montana after fleeing town at 18 after too much drama she just couldnโ€™t handle. Now sheโ€™s back, and Silas isnโ€™t letting her get away again.

Felicity certainly left a lot of pain and baggage in Prescott after everything that went down before she left town. A lot of apologies she needs to make, because she definitely wasnโ€™t a perfect person at 18. I liked that she was flawed, and had obviously grown to be more mature and ready to move on from her past mistakes/choices.

Silas was very swoony with all his years of pining for her. I appreciated that he wanted to โ€œget it rightโ€ this time, but also, lets get this show on the road, kids! ๐Ÿ˜‚

There were several dramatic plot lines surrounding the characters, mainly to do with side/future MCs, and I am very excited to see their stories unfold.

Audiobook notes: Ava Erickson and Jeffrey Kafer did a wonderful job!

What this book is giving:
โœ… Small Town Romance
โœ… Dual POV
โœ… Dead ex-boyfriendโ€™s best friend
โœ… Ranch Life
โœ… Second Chance
โœ… MCโ€™s in their 30s

An emotional, beautifully told, second chance love story.

Felicity Cleary is back home.

Sheriff Jessโ€™ sister (book 1 in the Jamison Valley series). Sheโ€™s been gone for 16 years and has now returned home to Prescott to reconnect with her family. And maybe make amends for treating so many people badly. When Felicity was upset, her first instinct was always to lash out. Her default defense mechanism had always been to put up a wall of evil glares and sharp comments, but she didnโ€™t want that to be โ€œherโ€anymore.

Silas had been in love with Felicity for so long and now that she is back home, he is not about to lose her again. But she wants to be โ€œfriendsโ€. There are secrets Silas doesnโ€™t know. And heโ€™s determined to take things slow this time and discover what Felicity is hiding.

This is book 3 in the Jamison Valley Series and the characters weโ€™ve already met and adore return here. This second chance love story is a bit different because neither Silas nor Felicity knows that theyโ€™ve actually been in love with each other for YEARS! Secrets come to light, ghosts from the past are laid to rest and their relationship takes a turn. . .

And youโ€™ll love every single word of this one:
The slow burn.
Felicityโ€™s snark.
Cowboy Silus.
Their steamy love scenes.
The drama of PTSD and spousal abuse, adding more characters to root for.
Plus a best friend in hiding.
Itโ€™s all part of this emotional, beautifully told, second chance love story.

A FMC with a bad attitude back in her small town trying to make amends. I love a woman with a quick temper. Oh yeah, let's throw in some grief (YES, please!) and rediscover the love that could've been with her friend while in a small town. So far this is my favorite of this series.

โ€œFor those who cross under this sign, may your hearts be lucky in love and in life.โ€

Book 3 in the Jamison Valley series. Second chance.

Characters
Silas, 36 (Rancher):
One day soon, Silas will fully take over the reigns of The Lucky Heart from his father. However, the transition has had a few bumps in the road as father and son donโ€™t always see eye to eye. Silas is ex military and has had a crush on Felicity since high school. She is the girl he has never been able to forget. โ€œWhen Felicity was around, I came alive. Her passion sparked my own. Life wasnโ€™t dull or predictable. The mundane seemed exciting.โ€
Silas is a hot, sexy rancher (both on and off his horse).

I really enjoyed this one! Silas and Felicity have both loved each other all their lives, but neither know, but when Felicity returns to town after fourteen years away, their feelings become too hard to ignore.

My only complaint about this book is that I wish they would've communicated earlier; Devney Perry has no problem with fast burn love stories so the fact that our mains don't get together until almost halfway is practically unheard of for a Perry novel and could've been avoided had they just talked things out.

Also, there were a LOT of side plots. I thoroughly enjoyed them all, but there was sort of a lot to keep up with between Sabrina, Khloe, and Elliot. I wish we could've focused on one problem and dealt with it throughly instead of half-assing the three of them.

Emmy and Nick remain my favorites, but Silas and Lis are a close second at this point.
