In a word: candid. Brie and Nikki Bella are kind enough about people that have done them wrong, but they don't pull their punches on social injustices, nor lighten up on the gory details.
Wrestling features surprisingly little in their memoirs. It's a backdrop--one they worked very hard for--to a story that's essentially them coming to terms with themselves and their circumstances, and fighting hard to challenge constructs that keep women down. That was a surprise to me, but it's a thread that's woven throughout their story. I'm not doing them any credit by just listing them in this way, but there's body positivity, sex education, lifting women up so there's more at the top, and... starting a clothing line after vaginal injuries.
Genuinely impressed.

Incomparable by Brie and Nikki Bella 3.5/5
After binging through all of Total Divas and Total Bellas on Hulu, I bought this book to feed my addiction.
It’s told in this interesting back and forth method, not switching voices chapter to chapter. I didn’t mind it, but I think it might be off putting for some people.
Much of the “new” information had been briefly discussed or given a brief overview on the show, so don’t feel like your missing any huge revelations if you choose not to read this book. This book does go in to much more detail of their lives growing up and things that happened to them as young adults that were very formative in making them who they are today. It seems that Brie and Nikki are very true to themselves on page and in front of the reality tv cameras.
A quick and enjoyable read for fans who want a little more insight into the Bella’s lives. I will happily watch these two live their best lives as long as they let us!

I love me some reality TV and have grown to be fans of the Bella Twins. They’ve slowly opened up about the past on their show but I had no idea. Their positivity through everything is so inspiring. I don’t want to give anything away but I am forever a fan for their openness and positivity.
I loved learning more about the Bella Twins! I am a big fan of Total Divas and Total Bellas, and I was so excited when they announced their plans for this book! I could totally relate to their daddy-issues and I really felt a kinship with Brie, especially when she brought up her spirituality. Overall this was a great autobiography--I would for them to keep writing! A Bella Twin self-help book would be AMAZING
2.5* I grew up watching the WWE so it was fun to see the behinds the scenes of the world of wrestling. I loved the themes of female empowerment! It was a fun read but definitely didn’t wow me
The editor of this book needs to be fired.
I was so excited to read Nikki and Brie’s book. I’m a huge WWE fan and love supporting them. However, this book was a major disappointment. Apart from TWO small parts that really delve into detail, the entire story is barely scratching the surface.
The timeline flip flops back and forth and is super hard to follow. They mention things in parts of the book that have already been discussed as if we hadn’t read it before. It’s put together sloppy and in an order that makes zero sense.
It honestly felt like reading just the answer side of an interview.
I did enjoy hearing about Brie and Bryan’s relationship and a few other things I didn’t know.
Other than that, major flop.

Love me some Bella’s. I watch the shows, watch wrestling and consume their podcast. For how deep the twins made this book out to be I thought it was surface level emotionally. Nikki addressing her rapes was under a page long. In her position as a public figure in 2020 where times are different would be great to go deeper and encourage other survivors. My heart hurts for them both in different times. I absolutely appreciate all they do for women and changing the culture of an entire company which has been backed by wwe themselves in documentaries on their network.
Not a fan personally of the long chapters and writing style of Nikki/ Bri instead of being separate chapters. Parts seemed copy/pasted in the wrong spots as it wasn’t always cohesive.
However, a fun read. I loved learning more about them and appreciated the book!

It’s almost impossible for me to properly rate this book. Although it’s hard to deny that it is poorly written, expecting the Bella Twins to produce elegant prose is akin to expecting me to backflip off the top rope.
Yet I loved it. These are two of the women in the public eye that I most admire and emotionally connect with, and that’s mostly because of their unflinching transparency. An honesty that is on full display in these pages.
A lot of cool BTS wrestling stuff, too (did you know WWE superstars have to provide their own wrestling gear? And are independent contractors? I didn’t).
Objectively, this isn’t Shakespeare, but it’s still worth reading.

"We have done a lot of work to let go of the anger and to only use it as motivation, never as an excuse." // Nikki & Brie.
shit, i mean shit, this book.
when this book came out i was so damn excited to read about a movement which has been a huge part of my childhood, and that too from the eyes of the queens @thebriebella and @thenikkibella but INCOMPARABLE IS JUST UNFORGETTABLE. ♥️
if you've ever been lucky enough to have a @wwe phase in your life, you know The Bella Twins have been a part of everything concerning the Women's Division. From being Divas in bikinis in the sexist (but awesome at times) Attitude Era to being Superstars in brutal matches now, these two women have seen it all. there was actually a time when they quit wwe because of the inequality in the business.
the book offers a very real look into wwe and what female wrestlers have gone through to get where they are today, aka the WOMEN'S REVOLUTION, and it was empowering and delightful to read about the work which goes into the perfect storylines and adrenaline-pumping matches we see in the ring.
brie and bear's love story was my favorite part of the book and i loved the way nikki fearlessly describes her relationship with her sexuality. another lesson which seeped into me was how they use their victimhood as a power and not as an excuse. I believe that more people need to know this. Even though it's not easy, i agree when nikki and brie say that by accepting victimhood you let the abuse happen again and again. this just hit me so hard.
I know you won't pick up this book if you have no idea who these gorgeous women are, but if you ever feel inclined to read this memoir, I'd tell you to go through with it. it's informative and could be your wake-up call. #thelonevixen ♥️

Surprised I liked it and found them as interesting as I did. But only really read because of a celebrity memoir challenge I was doing
