Nikki Bella, Brie Bella

3.99 AVERAGE

A book full of powerful stories for everyone, sides are shared of Nikki and Brie that haven't previously been shared and it's just a great read.

This book was interesting to read and was pretty much exactly what I expected. It seemed like they skimmed over some topics for privacy of the third-parties but I appreciated how raw and open they both were in their childhood and early adulthood. It was interesting to read about the behind the scenes of their WWE careers.

i love these two so much. As a wrestling fan, I was pleasantly surprised with how much they cover their wrestling careers and training.

I love the Bella twins but this book made me love them even more. Brie really opened up about her past and was really vulnerable in every chapter. They have over come so much negativity and turned it into a positive.

I’d give this book a 3.5 stars. I decided to read it because it was one of the “Available Now” books on Libby and I figured I’d give it a shot. I know pretty much nothing about WWE, but I have seen episodes of Total Divas and Total Bellas so I knew some basics of Nikki and Brie’s lives. It was interesting to learn more about their life stories and how they rose to fame, and it was an easy read. I didn’t like how they kept talking about “victimhood” - talking about how their rough life experiences didn’t make them victims and how the overcame that while also occasionally pointing fingers at other people who made their lives difficult (they didn’t name names but did refer to other women in the industry). Something about it just rubbed me the wrong way. The writing was also very, very basic, and grammatically incorrect at times, which drives me a little crazy. Overall, not a bad book, but I don’t know that I’d rush to recommend it either.

This was really good! I am not sure if I would recommend it to non-wrestling fans in general, not because they talk too much about wrestling and people may not care about it, but just because the book itself is really better suited to those who have an interest in the twins and wrestling. Their writing was better than I expected honestly. I loved learning more about their lives, wrestling backstory, relationships, and businesses. The last chapter or two were a little preachy but I totally appreciated their messages. I just wish that some of those things were better integrated into the book instead of added on at the end?

This book was very good to read. It was very interesting to read about 2 of my favorite celebrities lives and the things they went through. Things got very deep in the book and I loved them for sharing their side during a time where women’s wrestling was big as it is now and how the workplace would be.

I first read this book in 2020 I rated it 5 stars. My rating still stands today. I enjoyed hearing about their lives. The chapters about WWE were my favorite. I also enjoyed hearing about Brie's relationship with her husband Bryan. Some of the chapters and subject matter in the book is intense such as their childhood and Nikki's encounters with sexual assault. I was kind of disappointed that Brie and Nikki didn't narrate the book except the introduction.. I just found the other narrators monotone and slightly boring. The narrator thing is just a personal preference of mine. Overall, this book was quick yet really enjoyable.

I am wowed at how raw and open this turned out to be. Besides Paige, the Bella Twins are my favorite wrestlers to follow, specifically Nikki. I think they had such distinct voices and revealed so much of the messed up shit they had to deal with in their lives. They are the strong female, latina inspirations that I am so glad got as far as they did in the WWE. I loved them and have enjoyed everything from Total Divas to watching whenever they're on RAW.

I also feel like since I got into wrestling a little late in the game, I appreciate the behind the scenes look at how the business works, the technical aspects of the matches, and how people are off the screen.

I adore them and how they carry themselves. They've made such an impact and I had so much fun reading them spilling the tea. Can't wait to see what they tackle next in life and definitely see myself flipping through this book again in the future.

Would reccomend if you love wrestling, them, the WWE, Total Divas, strong women, or female wrestling in general.
