3/5 stars.
It was… meh. I think my attention wavered after the first book but that was partially because the stakes were so high in the first book and the conflicts so intense I felt the need to keep chasing after those feelings despite the latter two books of the trilogy being less plot-centered, which admittedly, is not the fairest way to rate things maybe.
As much as I understand Amara’s rage I felt like the choices she made never had devastating consequences. She still got what she wanted at the end without paying a steep price for sometimes the awful things she had done. Her friends truly were worse off in that regard.
All in all, an okay conclusion but the first book remains the best for me. It probably could have ended as a standalone as is.
