This suffers from much the same issues as the previous book and I found myself mentally editing it as I read it. However, this one felt somewhat easier to read - maybe because I'd already got used to the writing style?

I enjoyed this book a lot more than the 1st one, maybe because I was invested after the 1st one and was excited to start the sequel. Overall, I had enjoyed reading this, the plot was a bit confusing and I am still a bit angry that some sentences are just not translated to English. Sometimes it's easy to understand words with context, sometimes a whole sentence in French is thrown in and is not translated and that still angers me. But in the end, I enjoyed reading!

loved all the angst, especially at the start of the book, and thought that the revolution plot was quite interesting, but it did get a bit much sometimes. wasn’t a massive fan of the ending, but understand why it happened
