Every now and then I like dark romances. Some romances that many people would consider taboo. This is definitely one of them.
The characters are intriguing but I wished that I learned more about them. I have so many questions left unanswered that I couldn't justifiable give this book more than 3 stars.
Ultimately, this is a sexually charged novella that leaves you wanting more. Unfortunately to read more and probably get your answers you have to pay $3.00 for each installment. I will probably wait to see if the prices on the other books go down before I finish the series.
Warning, this is a serial book that leaves you hanging and I'm hesitant to buy the next book when it is only going to be a tiny novella.

The ending made this book, hands down. I have to admit I wasn't all that thrilled with it until the very last page (definitely more of a two star until that point), then I read that last bit and instantly went to Amazon and bought the next 3 books. I'm suddenly very, very interested in how this will turn out. I can't decide if it will be good or bad (well, obviously it's probably good in the end, but I mean in the meantime) and how much angst is going to be involved... I secretly hope for a lot, which is odd for me (particularly since that's why I often avoid YA). Ultimately I really enjoyed this book and I'm bummed I have to wait for a couple books until I can pick up book 2.

I will say that Hannah bothers me a teensy bit because of her first encounter with Mr. Hot-Stranger-But-Sister's-"Boyfriend", but I can see myself eventually liking her. Definitely have some problems with Jackson, but he's still pretty typical for this type of book. I hope Hannah develops a bit more in the next couple of books...manautoua's review

While I know how difficult it is to come up with new plots and potential character growth for this style of erotica, L. Valente does a pretty good job with this one. It is interesting enough that I will be reading the next in the series.

Short but sweet, it felt like half the book was over and nothing happened - the book does have a cliffhanger so don't read this unless you plan to continue in the series.
