Giant Days is such a comfort read. I love these characters so much!

I love how this comic depicts these characters inching toward maturity even as they seem outwardly to be regressing. Or at least, clinging to their youthful habits and foibles even as they inexorably outgrow them. Relationships become ever more complex but Esther, Susan and Daisy stay true to each other. It is awesome.

Still hilarious with wonderful illustrations. Can't wait to read more!

Dry synopsis so I can remember what happened:

Daisy must face her Grandmother, who just learned that she had been in a lesbian relationship over the past year. She then finds housing as a RN & is spectacular. Susan & her manly man must work through relationship troubles. Esther & Daisy go to a job fair...hilarity ensues.
Esther has to deal with having destroyed Ed emotionally after he proclaimed his love for her.

Half through the volume, I noticed the change of art style and it irritated me so much because the three main characters seem to behave slightly different from their selves in previous volumes. I still enjoyed the story tho. Totally get what Esther was saying about those career fairs. Some people are just do not want to be in corporate world. Love to see Ed is back on track & glad to see his character grow! And McGraw is such a bf goal!

I’m as caught up as I’ve ever been on Giant Days and, as always, wish they were longer. A bit of an abrupt ending, but I always enjoy spending time with these characters.

The 3 are slowly unmeshing their lives from each other, but they are still so supportive - I love it!
