holy moley, this was bad, racist, and disturbingly horny in the art.  pass from me, definitely skip it, not even worth it for a laugh. warren ellis sucks so bad.

The artwork by Kaare Andrews was oversexualized and offensive. I won't be reading anything he's illustrated again. It completely overshadowed the story for me.

Ended up being more intriguing philosophically than it started out. But Andrews's art, or the way he draws female characters at least, is just absurd.

This artist took some getting used to and I still think the cover art is really freaking bad, but by about the middle I started liking it. Other than that Warren killed it again. Dark, funny, and cool, as usual.

I am so tired of constantly being reminded how much Africa sucks. So very tired. This comic sets forth the tired notion that the only people in Africa are either starving savages or locked in perpetual bloody combat. I'm not saying Africa doesn't have problems. All continents do. But it would be nice if people shared the positives of Africa once in a while. I actually liked the plot of this book. I like reading Warren Ellis' work. But the way he casually dismisses an entire made me want to slap some sense into him.

Good story and good art. Will keep it in my personal library. Solid X-Men Tale.

Marginally interesting story. But the artwork was actually offensive. I don't have a problem with most comic artists showing women's bodies, but this guy was over the top sexually. Just too much.

The art is so horrifically bad, so overly sexualised, so bizarrely proportioned that I am embarrassed I read this.

The copy I read was from a public library and someone had gone through and coloured in every picture of Emma Frost, which about all this is good for.

Pretty decent story. And not a bad followup on Ghost Box. But the art is just plain horrible. It's like the artists have no idea what the characters are supposed to look like. And Emma is just too much. One of the better stories set in Africa otherwise.

A phenomenal story arc that manages to tackle big real world issues and stay perfectly comically ridiculous. Andrews depiction of Emma Frost however is god awful. The proportions are ridiculous and make her look like some kind of winter squash instead of a real person.
