It was a cute story. I didn't realize light novels were so simple to read. More like mini vignettes or scenes really than any major plot, though some "in game events" do pop up from time to time. Not enough to detour Rae from having a happy life with the woman of her dreams. It's just light hearted and cute, not much to how I feel about it

Got into it cause I saw the anime trailer coming out. So I can't wait to see the actual show version

I would say this is a standard wish-fullfillment light novel, it's a fast read but the plot itself barely moves (this first volume consist only of the first three chapters of the original web novel plus an extra). There's no real conflict nor real character growth through it, and is merely the start of a longer story; even compared to similar light novels I found it disappointingly bare due to the lack of real depth to even the world building, but the writing itself (or at least the official English translation) was fine and made it an alright experience. All in all, it's an afternoon read that I don't regret but that I don't think I'll pick up again.

honestly, i wanted to like this better sooo bad. although it was an easy read, some of it was sooo .. odd? like Mcs behaviour and that weird lene and mr lambert sub plot?? the idea was good but such a bad execution icl. at least they wrote abt lesbians well ig but they also wrote many contradicting things about it e.g Rae’s character. idk if it’s a love story why don’t u acc develop it instead of just making an MC that bothers someone the whole time who very obviously doesn’t like it?? i was soo disappointed. don’t waste ur time lol

This is an easy and enjoyable read. The story is so fun that I just kept wanting to turn to the next page and before I knew it I had read the story within a day! The story is dialogue heavy, which I had no problem with because it was either hilarious or thought provoking. The only downside for me was the sometime jarring tropes/side stories that momentarily took me out of the story (for example the ghost hunting or when the characters play King's game), but they are short and don't take away from the overall plot and story. Would recommend!
