I don't like the narrator's voice unfortunately and the story and characters didn't intrigue me enough to power through it
I’ll be honest, when I started reading it, I really didn’t think much of it. I was bored, and I was confused by the more technical parts of the story. But when I picked it up after putting it down for a few days, I was pleasantly surprised. The prose is excellent, and the characters are complex and addicting. Probably my favourite thing was the trans rep with Kathleen/ Celia that I wasn’t expecting, but was very happy to see. Major props to Chloe Gong, I’ll be keeping an eye on the release date of Foul Lady Fortune.

I liked it, but I lost the motivation to read over time. Things weren’t unraveling fast enough for me; I spent too long feeling confused. Pacing felt a bit slow.
