DNF. Can’t get into this book. I’ve somehow managed to put it down after every chapter so far and have no desire to complete the book. So I think it is not for me and it’s time to move on. So that’s what I’m going to do!

Finished on March 10th
Not sure if I want to be or want to be with Elisabeth Scrivener.
I am absolutely obsessed with the libraries in this book, I won't say much more about it because I don't want to give anything away about it, but I would love nothing more than to have some grimoires of my own - specifically the Lexicon from Elisabeth's trunk.
I loved reading this book, I didn't have any expectations when I went into it but also didn't really expect to become so quite attached to the characters. I have to give myself some praise for making a lot of the plot twists click into my mind before they came by figuring out the little hints in the book and I'm quite proud of that one.

I love the worldbuilding, it's very rich and well explored  despite it being a standalone, the characters definately grew on me. The scenes when our mc has to do something she shouldn't be, like stealing, the prose is very well strucktured and thrilling. I don't like the villain, maybe it's the veteran reader in me , but I really am not a fan of one guy beibg behind everything. It just seems too simple. Also  not the buggest fan of the fake death with no consequence. That's why I pushed it down to 4 stars. Overall, an enjoyable read.
