Problematic author

I really liked this book. I'm not going to do an overview because everyone I know has already read this series, but it's the one where Ginny finds the journal/diary and Tom Riddle (Voldemort) uses her to open the chamber of secrets. And we learn Harry can speak snake (there's a word for it but it's really long and I don't feel like spelling it out).
