dark mysterious tense

4.5 stars rounded down.
This was told from two POV. The characters were well developed and easy to like or hate.
There were a few segments that seemed completely implausible, otherwise I would have went with 5 stars! Multiple twists and surprises. I highly recommend!

Ermagerd. The deception! The duplicityyyyyyy. 😂 This is another one I put off for ages. I had it in hold forever ago, but then I wanted to put something ELSE on hold and canceled this one.... finally got back around to it and IT WAS SO GOOD! So many moments where I thought I knew what was going on, then discovered i didn't, then a few times discovered I actually HAD. 🤣  If you want a twisty turn good domestic thriller, I recommend checking this one out.

So. Freaking. Good. The ending was a little anti-climactic but this gave me the Last Mrs. Parrish vibes. It was a non-stop, edge of your seat, wtf is going on type of thriller & I devoured it. From the first chapter you’ll be hooked.

I love the care and attention the author also put in regarding homeless people. This had short (and crazy) chapters, multiple POVs, surprising twists and turns, and the overall plot was so gripping. Will definitely be reading more from this author!

As an avid thriller reader I truly do not understand the negative comments this books has.

This had me in it's grasp from the beginning. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because in a dual narrative I don't want to read the exact same conversation twice. I skimmed those pages and nothing was different, no opposite POV. Just the same dialogue.

But that was literally my only complaint. Every twist had me fooled. I read over 220 pages tonight because I needed to know the ending. And I loved it!!

This was a solid read for me. Was really interesting to hear the story through one character and then go back and hear it through another. I will say it might be on the slower side for a “thriller” and maybe more of a character study. This was an audiobook read for me and other than them not knowing how to pronounce Bellingham and Spokane correctly I loved it.
