I’m just not feeling it - it’s already somewhat repetitive with the details (messed up her relationship with her sister, she’s homeless and unsafe, the rich woman can’t possibly have a worse life than hers even though she’s already explained that her husband is a powerful lawyer who abuses her). Wow, so I had completely forgotten what this book was going to be about! It's very fast paced and layered. The actual storyline was okay. The character experiences was what drove this for me. It was very immersing from character change and growth whether it was of consequence or discovery. Some of the situations were beyond believable, but enough of them were pretty spot on. The epilogue was a nice bow tie.
This is the first thriller I’ve read, it kept me intrigued and on my toes for most of it. I found once I figured out what had happened I lost a bit of interest. I didn’t have much interest in where everyone ended up in the end.

The Drowning Woman had a slow start, but once it picked up, I was definitely hooked. It reminded me of The Housemaid with its multi-part structure and dual narrators—something I really enjoy.

Audiobook. Enjoyed this book and its storylines. It was fun hearing the different characters experiences and then trying to piece them together.
