I love Agatha Christie and particularly love Tommy and Tuppence. They’re my favorite of Agatha’s detectives... which is the main reason I made myself finish Postern of Fate. It’s not poorly written, it’s just so different than the other 4 books, and isn’t written in a style I enjoy. There was way too much dialogue and too little action. T&T talked on and on about the conversations they had with people and never really got to a point. I can see how some people would like this book, but it was very hard for me to finish. I wanted to give it 2 stars, but added an extra for the fact that Christie wrote this so late in life (and health) and because I do love T&T so.

Honestly I found this book a bit dull. I have read the majority of Christie's books and this one just didn't do it for me. It did get better for the last 100 pages though.

Just as bad as everyone says. It seems likely Christie was dealing with dementia by the time she wrote this, her last book. It’s awful.

It pains me to give a Christie book such a low rating, but this is my least favorite of all so far. Not only was it the slowest moving story, but I also felt like nothing was actually accomplished or resolved. The story just went around in circles and then all of a sudden it was over. I'm still confused about much of the stuff that happened. I had a lot of trouble paying attention and had to go back and re-read many passages that I had zoned out of. Though T&T are not my favorite AC characters, this novel was by far the worst.

A mystery written for a different era -- there's very little actual sleuthing in this one and a LOT of slow-paced conversation about the mystery. Repetitive and slow conversations! Ugh. Not suitable for audio, not very intriguing, and not very plausible to solve a mystery that's 40 or 50 years old with very little actual evidence. Take a pass .

This book is tied with Passenger to Frankfurt as my least favorite Agatha Christie book. She was an amazing mystery writer but not a very good spy writer. It was a very slow moving book and didn't hold my interest.
