I actually really liked this one. I believe she is a new author so for a debut author this is a great read. Looking forward to more!

I read this after reading the Echo's Wolf series and I prefer that... I only like romances when the hero isn't too macho/dominant/alpha male. Love Lia Silver's works though, I will so check out the other stuff she's written under her other names.

I had a really hard time staying in this book and then finishing it. The concept of the story was a good one, and I really hate not finishing a book, so I kept going, even though I went a day and a half avoiding reading. The whole book just felt slightly off, like things weren't quite meshing properly. I never did figure out what was causing this feeling. Though there was plenty of action, it seemed like it came in spurts with lots of blah between the action. There were also glaring inconsistencies throughout the book that made me wonder about the editing and prereader team. I may end up reading the second book, but I'd have to be pretty down on what else I had to read. And since I have literally thousands of books on my kindle, that time won't be soon.

I like that the author wrote a hero dealing with PTSD and that he wasn't magically "healed" after becoming a wolf or falling in love. But then it became too focused on his PTSD.

really lovely in a way of cozy, pleasing, narrative-kinks-filled book with sweet and healthy romance thrown in. and alllllll the hurt/comfort, all the hurt/comfort EVER.

I liked all the different elements of the story, but think it could have used some trimming overall -- the pacing seemed super slow at times.
I think my favorite part was watching how the hero slowly learned to deal with the PTSD and toxic masculinity that was killing him by pieces. If you're looking for a growly alphahole hero, this will probably disappoint, but I actually really enjoyed watching him heal; he seemed like an actual person, not a cardboard prop.
Also, there were some (very) light femdom aspects of his relationship with the heroine that made this story more interesting than the run of the mill PNR.

I like romances where everyone has a brain. And I especially liked Laura's confidence in her brain, even when she thinks she is losing everything else. I hope for more Werewolf books from Silver.

Entertaining, highly readable, and unflaggingly interesting paranormal romance about a werewolf veteran and a reformed con woman both suffering from PTSD.
