I’m not sure how to review this. The first 75% of the book I saw Anna as one thing, but towards the end I saw her as something else. The thing is, she didn’t really change at all. She shows us who she is throughout this book and it wasn’t always a person I liked. Maybe that’s what made her so intriguing throughout. She’s unredeemable but completely self-aware. She’s funny, competent and whip smart and filled with an entirely understandable rage that you can’t help root for her, even when she’s clearly being horrible. Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Aside from the gross body changing stuff at the end which, I assure you, you do not want to imagine AT ALL.

Well I don’t know what I was expecting but I wasn’t much pleased with the ending. Have we learned nothing?
Super fun book, it got very exciting for the last half or so… and then the ending was kind of a let down

oh i just love atypical superhero stories. this is very “the boys” coded but written by a woman. the world set up in this novel is so clever and interesting to read about, i’d honestly pick up a novella about some random hench going about their lives just ‘cause.

i don’t even know how to properly articulate just how much i love the entire premise and follow through for this book; it’s indescribable. anna is so near and dear to my heart and i hope she lives a long long life of fucking over everyone she deems fit.

I can see why someone would like it, if you like superhero’s. I’m not a big enough superhero fan so this just didn’t work for me. The ending was especially disappointing.
