Just a bit to future me. This is the first of Ihli's books I've read and it was definitely the wrong one. While it was fast paced and I did finish it, I hated huge portions of it. The love story is so contrived it made me roll my eyes. She also did Wes so dirty. This could have been a gripping survival story but the love bugs stuff mixed in just made it silly. I have so many notes and highlights that I made, and so many thoughts, but this annoyed me so much I want to be done with it.
4.8 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow. Based off a true story, this book will leave your heartrate high, angry for the injustice, & screaming at Rayna to remember who she is. Wes & Brent are true heroes. Miley is a champ. Wow. I am a bit speechless. That was good.

Enjoyable read which was mostly fast paced.
The first 15% or so i found really boring and there were a couple of sections towards the end, equally dull. They were a bit too long winded in my opinion, around the FMC sporting career etc. I found myself speed reading through these endless paragraphs to get back to the good bits again.
I honestly think I prefer a thriller that keeps me guessing rather than a predictable capture/chase/escape trope.
