This was a super interesting subject but the author seemed to focus on side characters and others stories over Schlitize's. The timeline also jumped around a lot and could have been streamlined.

Though I was intrigued by the subject matter, I found the book to be long and repetitive. While I understand that this may be characteristic of Schlitzie's life, I wish the author had utilized some creative techniques to advance the plot. Also, a little reflection at the end would have been appropriate.
