Better than the first, but not better enough to raise my rating maybe.. 🤔I did like the protagonist more this time while the plot felt lacking (and vice versa when it comes to its predecessor ). The jokes were good and I had a decent time, although I should probably try a novel from Parker next time. Skip this one if you are religious and sensitive about it perhaps.

Sadly, I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first book in this series… that being said, I still found this book to be witty, fun and the right amount of metaphorical to make it an enjoyable read.
Though I’m agnostic, I find the theology to be very interesting in this series and the light references to our history mixed in with well thought out fiction make for a truly thought provoking experience.
The idea of a never-ending rivalry between a side that always wins and a side that never dies is so interesting, and the stories within that never-ending battle are something I enjoy exploring in this series.
