Honestly one of the best ending to a classical book I’ve seen this far. Very poetic

I love this book and it's exploration of morality. Not many classics I've read have managed to grip me as much as this story did. I would have loved to have seen more of the corrupt and self destructive behaviours exhibited by Dorian but with the censorship of the time it wouldn't have been possible.

I loved this. I don’t read a lot of classics, but this was fantastic. It was dark and gritty and challenging, and yet the prose was easy to understand.

The hardest thing about this book I think is the paragraphs on paragraphs of dense philosophy. So if you are alright with that you will enjoy this book.

This symbolism and themes of mortality and sin and beauty were so wonderfully explored, it was so darkly beautiful. It was peak gothic, and I can’t wait to read more of the Gothic period.

All the characters were wonderfully flawed and awful, Dorian was such a compelling character.

iscid Certainly not "the perfect book", but a very good read.
The story was easy to follow and the fast pace was pretty enjoyable. I personally had a problem with some of Harry's ramblings as they became a bit annoying after the first act. Chapter 11 was also entirely dreadful, incredibly tedious...
Overall, I can say that I finally understand why people recommend this to newer readers, its certainly a very good introduction to classics.
