ugh sarah dessen books just hit different in the summer, they are the perfect summer read! i loved that in this one the main character was actually pretty different than how she usually writes her female characters! in this one she drank and dates around, omg!! it definitely felt much more realistic to what teenager girls are actually like, at least in my experience. dexter was cute too and the family drama was as dramatic as ever, but this book definitely dragged at times and felt a little slow
