The whole G.D. Taylors series was great. The characters are extremely well-developed, and you fall in love with them all. I was very sad for the series to end.

New series and the Taylor boys are the GD bomb. This first book was a fun and heartfelt introduction to this new world. This world includes a fun and funny family, a bunch of hot brothers and friends that steal the show. Jesse and Mya, the MCs in this book, is such a cute couple and the best way to dive in this series. There is romance, there is happiness, there are secrets and heartbreak. I really enjoyed the story and even though, I was frustrated at times with the couple, because which romantic story doesn't have frustration; It was all justified. The characters' backgrounds were the source of a lot of their reactions and in the end, you realize that the story had to unfold the way it did.
The highlight of the book was Mya's best friend, Emma. She is feisty, the voice of reason and the "Ray Donovan of relationships". The second book is her book and I can't wait to read it. I do hope they keep using the Real Housewives references, they are hilarious.
Everything was awesome and the 4 stars are only because Emma was better than Mya as a character.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The characters are great and it's funny and spicy, but I hate miscommunication and I was annoyed that Mya was going to be so difficult about it all considering how difficult she was to begin with .I hate third act breakups. I think I'll continue with series though.

I loved this book! I love that he flees his ex and doesn't let her control him any more. She was so toxic and I hated what she did towards the end. She doesn't deserve to be in anyone's life. I love that she was weary of him at first and that she fit in with all the brothers from the start. I love that he ate her moms soop without complaining and that she accepted him immediately. I hate that they are split apart because he didn't tell her about leaving his ex at the altar. I love that their parents do what they can to get them back together. This was a great read and I can't wait to read more by this author.

Prepare to snort laugh

This was a very entertaining read. I laughed my head off. The interactions between the Taylor brothers are hilarious. Seriously, the most enjoyable part of the entire book is the humor.

Jesse pulls a runner on his wedding day, when he decides he cannot marry the Ice Queen (who he never actually asked to marry him in the first place). She’s truly horrid. He flees to New York and meets Mya in the building his brothers are renovating. She moved to New York after catching her boyfriend with their neighbor- in her bed. So they both have some baggage. He is smitten right away, but she’s skittish and he really has to work to get anywhere with her. I adore him- he loses all game whenever she is around, and his word vomit is hilarious and endearing. I love that he’s not some playboy, but a real gooey marshmallow with great hair. While he does share some details about his ex, he avoids mentioning that he left her at the altar. He’s terrified (rightly so) that it will scare her off, so he keeps hoping to push it off until after she’s firmly in love with him and less likely to run. You know what’s coming, but like a train wreck you can’t stop watching.

Even though you know what the conflict is going to be, and can see it coming for the majority of the book, it still plays out in a slightly shocking fashion. Definitely cringing when it happened. Now for my complaint- Even knowing what was coming, I wasn’t disappointed. I wasn’t even disappointed at how it played out. But I was mildly annoyed with her reaction. Yes, she should have been shocked or caught off guard. Maybe embarrassed about how she found out. But I found her reaction to be over the top, especially in how she dragged it out. The fact that she cried and carried on forever afterwards and refused to have a conversation with him frustrated me. She literally had one foot out the door weeks before, pushing him away for weeks because she was sure he’d want to find someone else just because they completed the renovations on her building. That was her baggage. So it felt like her reaction was definitely more a result of her baggage than his omission, and it annoyed me to see her endlessly crying about being so broken and that no one called her out on it.

All that aside, I still thoroughly enjoyed the book and would love to see the antics of these brothers continue.

Wanted Wed or Alive by Willow Aster & Laura Pavlov is the first book in the GD Taylors series. It features a runaway groom and a feisty lawyer. Jesse ditched his awful bride-to-be right before walking down the aisle and fled from Chicago to NYC. Mya fled Chicago to NYC after catching her boyfriend cheating with her neighbor. Neither is looking for a relationship but when the perfect person is living in your building, it gets too hard to fight it! This book was so good and SO funny. I laughed out loud multiple times and cannot wait to read more of the GD Taylors.

Wanted wed or alive

Such a fun start the a new series! I enjoyed the book so much. Jesse and Mya were two people healing from past relationships. They could not deny their attraction and chemistry. I’m glad to see them start as friends and develop to something more.
