I really enjoyed this omegaverse romance with the historical aspect to it. I was intrigued when I first heard about this story and it was a good read! I really loved the emotions I am able to feel while reading this romance!

I really loved the FMC Esta and watching her grow throughout the book. The bonds she builds with the pack had me swooning and wanting more.

Overall, I really enjoyed this romance and would read it again! It was a romance worth the wait and I am excited for the next one in the series!

Desperate to escape her cruel fiancรฉe, Omega Esta answers an advertisement for a mail order bride. The writer specifically requested a Beta, but Esta is sure she can win him over. When she meets Hale and learns about his deep-rooted hatred of Omegas, Esta decides to hide her designation from her husband. Hartlock Ranch, her new home, is bordering the unruly wildlands, and the freedom speaks to Esta's soul. Hale's brother Ruck, and the ranch hand Oliver, are quickly won over by Esta's kindness. Even Hale's wild little brother begins to straighten up under her tutelage. Finding her place seems like a dream come true, until Esta's heat throws her secret out the window. Faced with an impossible decision, Hale demands Ruck and Oliver help his wife, knowing it's illegal to form a pack. The two are happy to give in to their feelings. It's only a matter of time before the happy bubble bursts.

Marketed as a historical western omegaverse, I snagged this one up! It delivered on that promise! This is set in a pioneer type era, with humans anD A/B/O designated living together but unequally, as humans have diminished the designated's rights. The dynamic between the Hartlock Pack was a slow burn that paid off beautifully. Making Hale grovel for endless chapters was cruel and well-earned. I loved seeing Esta take hold of her power and dig her heels in deep. There was a lot going on in this fast-paced story, but it kept me engaged late into the night.

sometimes i donโ€™t read the entire blurb of a book and just go into it. so i didnโ€™t know that that this was a historical western omegaverse. itโ€™s not something i usually gravitate towards but i very much enjoyed this.

Esta answers Haleโ€™s ad for a mail-order bride and leaves Breton City for Misery Creek. however Esta brings her secrets along with her to Misery Creek, including the fact that sheโ€™s actually an omega pretending to be a beta. and her new husband absolutely hates omegas. but Esta canโ€™t head back to the city and the life she left behind. she need to prove to her new husband, his brothers, and ranch hand that she can survive on the ranch.

this omegaverse world is different in the sense there are humans and then designates (alphas, betas, and omegas) and the humans do not like the designates and think they are beneath them. in this society, packs are also outlawed.

this book had me feeling all the feels for Esta, but also Hale, Ruck, Oliver, and little brother Bram. each had to come to turns with what Estaโ€™s presence on the ranch means for them individually but together as a family and potential pack. and i loved Esta throughout the entire book and not forgiving Hale right away and making him grovel. you also get tension and build up, esp since Ruck and Oliver feel bad for also wanting Haleโ€™s wife.

this was a great omegaverse and i hope we get a story about Birdie.

Mae Pierce, Queen of the Grovel, does it again. This book had me hooked from the very first chapter and Iโ€™m not normally a historical romance girlie.

Think Oregon trail meets omegaverse with a side of angst, smut, and groveling. The plot was creative without falling into the standard tropes of omega books, and the grovel did its job so well.

The characters were so lovely, even when I did want to occasionally bash them over the head with my kindle, they were still great.

Highly recommend this book! It was a fun ride from start to finish and left the doors open for more books from this really cool world.

Historical romances have never been my thing but then one day I noticed a bunch of photos for this book. I got hooked quickly. I needed it, I had to read it! Omegaverse, cowboys, omega in disguise, mail order bride whose alpha husband hates omegas ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ!!!! Pardon what!?!?!?! Hooked I tell you hooked! Mae Pierce created a world that was captivating, interesting, and made me crave more.
