Difficult not to compare this to the Crowns of Nyaxia series. I'm not sure anything can live up to The Serpent and the Wings of Night or The War of Lost Hearts.

More plot tha hot

I liked this book. I think all of this author's books are a bit plot-centred, right? Even a book about the famous "smut" ends up being more plot than hookup.

I imagined the guy from The Witcher as the vampire. He's hot okay, don't  judge me.

The story itself is full of holes and with a lot of nonsense, but I thought the fantastic element was very well done and creative, I wanted an entire series just with these themes.

There are some parts that I think were forced to happen faster, without much development due to it being a stand-alone. It didn't bother me that much, but I don't know.

I confess that about 70% of the way through the book I started to get bored lol. It was just a very boring journy, but after that some stuff started to happen and i started to like the book again.

Overall, a good book. I don't think it is worth more than 3 stars.

I'm in my vampire romance phase and this was so good! Slyina and Atrius are one badass couple! I wish we had more different sweet moments between them though to add to the build up!

Loved it!  Such a unique and intriguing self contained story in the Nyaxia universe.  I hope she revisits it at some point!
