I really enjoyed this one — the main character is kind of terrible, but in a relatable way. Fun “coming of age” story in adulthood when life upends you.

At the beginning of this book I didn't love it--I was waiting for the story to progress and found Agatha to be a frustrating character. As the book progressed, however, I started to appreciate her for her quirks and just lean into the silliness of the story.
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would…Agatha was kind of a pathetic hot mess, but in a likable way.
Agatha has fears and when one of her biggest fears actually happens she reacts with a hatchet. As Agatha becomes consumed by her fears she loses herself. Channeling Bear Gryllis and with help from unexpected sources Agatha faces her fears. A story that makes you laugh, and say "oh, Agatha", and start to think about how you face your fears.

Freaking brilliant, quirky, and inspiring. I loved it.
This one was hard to get through. You feel bad for what happen with her husband, but her neurotic behavior makes it hard to root for her. I think the author tried to be funny, but it was a hit and a miss... I didn’t laugh once! I made it through the book, but it took some effort.
so bad, and i never thought i would say this, i wish i could give it no stars. but we all need something to read before hemorrhoid surgery.
Oh, don’t mind my friend Agatha on the cover there. She’s not spying on you.
Since she found her husband in the shed bonking the dog walker, she’s become a bit… unhinged?
Getting sprayed by a skunk, the town interloper, and a not-so-friendly moms Facebook group is not helping her case.
Her Shrinky Dink can’t change that she’s terrified of beans, and that the only thing that gets her through the day is Bear Grylls.
Will Thelma and Louise, a state of the art drone, the Tush, and a snotty bowl of soup help?
You’ll just have to read to find out!
I think a lot of us are looking for light, fun, and entertaining reads the days. Look no further - Agatha Arch is Afraid of Everything is a laugh-out-loud fothermuckingly fun book

I really liked how this book was mainly just character development. The relationship that Agatha has with her therapist really resonated with me and my own relationship with my therapist. The way that Agatha also matures throughout the novel reminded me of my mother and how she had to deal with a similar affair of cheating husbands. Agatha is a smart ass but also a bad ass and I appreciate that about her character. I would not say that this is the best book of all time but it is good and I really think the last 100 pages make the book good but at the same time it seems like it ends a bit too early. Not the best but not the worst. I would give it a 3.5/5 (I know we can't do that on this site so I am considering it a 4) because it is slightly better than neutral.
