A fluffy novel with some deeper plots about family, luck and death of a parent. Quite a sweet couple and I love Marlene, she's so indomitable and relaxed. I wish I was like Marlene!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Mark's and Zennek.

It was fun to see a bold, outgoing woman and a shy bashful, man together. This really was an opposites attract type of relationship and they really do work so well together.

Marlene is such an easygoing person most of the time that it was interesting reading about her worries and superstitions.

It really got emotional when Zennek and their daughter went out hunting and were unable to come home due to an unexpected storm.

I will say that Zennek's family really stepped up for Marlene during this time and made sure to keep her as calm as possible. And when Marlene finally had enough and wanted to go out searching when the weather cleared up her in laws were all for it, once again reassuring her that everything was going to be fine. I really enjoyed seeing Marlene having a big family unit when she didn't have that on earth, having had just her mother for most of her life.

This was a really gentle and mostly calm read compared to the rest of the series which I really enjoyed. I'd absolutely recommend this.

Somehow had less of a plot than the novella that is just about Valentine's Day, but Marlene was fun.

I loved this one. Marlene was so much fun and Zennek was absolutely adorable. I cried probably the whole last half of the book. This might be one of my favorite couples!
