I honestly didn't really like the direction the series took. The second book has a greater focus on the vampire world and stuff, however I mainly liked the first book because I could relate to the protagonist struggling socially in school. I might finish it just cuz though.

This book had much more info about the world Vlad lives in. I think that helped this book be better than the first. I have to read the next one to see what happens to Vlad!!!

(4.75) Again this was my second read through of this book and I flew through it again. This one was slightly better than the first it didn’t have as many drawn out parts to it and I enjoyed the introduction of a new character. I also enjoyed the new storyline that came with the new character, but feel bad that now Vlad has to deal with a slayer trying to kill him on top of everyone else.

I loved this book!
I forgot about the trip to Russia but its been years since I read these books. Vikas is such a king and I love him.
I wish Otis and Nelly were able to get together. Vlad would have something like parents again. Joss' betrayal still hurt this time around as well. I just can't believe it. Like king couldn't even put aside the fact that Vlad was his friend first but trauma I guess.
Henry is a good friend and I will not stand for an slander on my man's name.
I do really hope we start getting more about Meredith than just her being a pretty face. But I don't remember much about her from the first time I read it, so my hopes aren't high.

I liked 'em because they were quick and easy. I would have liked deeper relationships and characters but for a series about teenage boys; I suppose they had as much depth as you can expect ;)
