I love these books so much, and the story between Vlad and his wife Elena is heartwarming. This book has good laughs and is a loveable second chance romance, marriage of convenience, and take of child hood friends to lovers. I felt some of the plot was weird, mainly in regard to Elena’s journalism work. However, this was a great feel-good read!

Also, Gavin’s stutter is back. I greatly appreciated this.

What a sweet romance, with such a unique plot. Vlad was such a cartoon in the rest of the series, so it was great to dive deeper into his character here. He really developed into a lovable, multi-faceted guy who was impossible not to root for. Elena, unfortunately, didn't quite do it for me. Her character, motivations, and actions were all over the place, and I really didn't feel like I knew her at all beyond as a plot point. Nevertheless, this was a fun addition to the series, and I loved being back with the Bromance Book Club. The silly parts didn't quite hit home for me (really, The Cheese Man?) but I loved seeing the guys back together again and being awesome. Here's to the Russian!

This book was pretty lackluster. Though I really liked Vlad, I found Elena to be a little flat. I also found that all of the secondary characters didn't resemble actual people and instead felt like one-dimensional caricatures with repetitive schticks.

The dialogue between male characters also felt clearly like a woman trying to write idealized, "woke" men. Again, they just didn't talk naturally and so many scenes felt inorganic.

There were parts that were funny and sweet, but I don't think this book was a winner.

This was a good entry in the series. I’m glad that the one character who’s previously been a vehicle for fart jokes gets some depth in this book. I also liked that the third act conflict felt actually meaningful, compared to in other romance novels.
