My first read of an Australian outback - life in the wild kind of novel - not sure if it is my kind of read. it was definitely a light read and a bit serious - nonetheless I felt that the author did not get into the depth of the characters - also the plot - very simple - was not very entwining - so all in all - if you want a light read - surely go for it but if you want something that's gripping - this one is not for you.
Much slower than her other books but a good ending
Absolutely loved this! I had previously read The Dry by the same author and really enjoyed it, so was looking forward to reading this and it didn’t disappoint. Well written characters, an exciting plot with lots of twists and turns, I couldn’t put it down. The writing is so effective that you really get a sense of the heat and the isolation. I definitely recommend.
