This was an intense read. I went through a wave of different emotions while reading this. The author’s attention to detail is amazing. The characters were relatable. I saw myself in this book at times. I highly recommend this book. I will be reading the first book in this series.

Tilly and Kate are sisters . Tilly is with Jim and they’re moving to New Mexico for a fresh start , al she’ll also be closer to Kate .
Kate dated Roman and they went their own ways only to rekindle after their latest case brought them together again and it came at a price , Kate lost her position at a high school as school psychologist and Roman stepped down at the local police station but both know the locals are involved and with so many loose strings I think they’re still at risk , there are those who don’t want the truth to get out and that scared me ….?

Tilly had a really traumatic experience and Jim is aware of it and he helps her through the aftershock of it all .

Kate wants to create a safe haven for victims of abuse and it seems Roman may join the FBI and life almost seems normal ….? Darkness is lurking and waiting to strike ….especially with the knowledge Kate has regarding the trafficking ring…..

My nerves are shattered ! These girls have had to deal with more than most people do and deserve justice ! Having not read the first book I’m going to read it and then re read this one ❣️📕 an absolute thrill of a read

Let me begin with stating that while Stumble and Fall is the second installment of a series, I did not read the first book. However, I do not feel that I was hindered in any way. This was an outstanding novel by Amy Rivers. Two sisters, Kate & Tilly, have definitely had their share of trauma in their lives. In Stumble and Fall, it reveals a story of how these two sisters are attempting to rebuild their relationship whilst also revealing how each sister has taken their own past trauma and used it for something positive in their adult lives. This book is full of suspense, drama & twists that keep the reader engaged completely. After finishing this story, I’ve decided i absolutely MUST go back and read the first installment as well. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys crime and suspense thrillers!

Gripping
This is a story that has many layers and interwoven pieces. Drawn in from the start this book is the second in the A Legacy of Silence trilogy. Fast paced, the tension builds and builds, all the while taking the reader on a journey filled with drama, family dilemmas and heartbreaking tragedies. There is still more to uncover - so bring on book 3.

Synopsis: As a high school psychologist, Kate has been through an awful lot in her time. When Kate purchases a new home in the desert with the idea of turning it into a safe haven for abused women she takes on way more than she anticipated. Tilly, Kate’s sister, a SANE nurse has also had her fair share of awful events within her lifetime. The two sisters are attempting to repair their relationship following a year of not speaking to one another. Will the two of them repair their relationship, put their own tragedies aside, and focus on saving women from rapists?

Reader’s Thoughts: Stumble & Fall is the second installment in the Legacy of Silence series. Although I did not read the first novel in this series, I was able to follow along with the storyline fairly well. I may have missed some minor background information but didn’t feel that it took away from the storyline in any way. I plan to go back and read the first novel.

This psychological thriller had me sitting on the edge of my seat, heart racing, while quickly flipping pages for more. The tragic events that Kate and Tilly endured during their lifetime broke my heart. Their strong will and desire to do everything in their power to help these victims made my heart full. As a nurse, I could 100% relate with their instinct to put their own needs aside and care for others. I love that the characters within this novel are flawed, full of fear and self-doubt, but show us readers how to fight for what is right. There were many tough social topics discussed in this novel. Rivers thought these topics out thoroughly and did an amazing job accurately executing these topics into the storyline making every part believable.

Trigger Warnings: Rape, Sex Trafficking, Sexual Assault

Stumble & Fall (A Legacy of Silence Book 2) by Amy Rivers. I LOVED this book. It's the second in the series but can be read as a standalone although I highly recommend reading them in order. Its the story of Kate Medina who is a psychologist who has returned home to New Mexico following her father and her rape at a prison where she worked. Her sister Tilly has also decided to head back home with her current boyfriend. Tilly had gotten mixed up in a sex trafficking ring in this same town. Luckily she got out but so many others have not. Kate wants to find out what happened to her dad along with exposing the secrets of this town. She also wants to open up a home for these lost girls. Tilly has overcome all the past and become a trauma nurse so she gets a job in town to try to help these girls that were so much like her. When Tilly and Kate start digging and stirring things up their lives become endangered. Will they be able to solve these horrible secrets in this town or will it be the death of them. Read this fast paced thriller to find out!

Stumble & Fall (A Legacy of Silence Book #2) by Amy Rivers

This is the first book I've read by the author. Stumble and Fall is the second book in A Legacy of Silence Series. This story follows Kate and her sister Tilly. It's a hard book to put down once you get into it.

Tilly is a nurse and is good at her job. She is back in New Mexico and the feelings are back as well. She isn't sure what is going on with her, but she knows that she has to do this. The quote I chose for Tilly is: "Fair enough. It’s a small world after all. We’d better get back to the clinic."

Kate is still living in the town she was born in. She bought a house and will be starting her own business. In her want to help girls she may be putting them and herself in danger. The quote I chose for Kate is: "I feel like I’m running on adrenaline. More likely caffeine. I haven’t been sleeping well, so I may have overcompensated this morning."

Highly recommended for Crime lovers.

Stumble & Fall is a psychological crime thriller and the second book in A Legacy of Silence trilogy. I read this book not realising that it is actually the second book. I have already started on the first book and will reread this one going forward as I just love these characters.
What a tangled web Amy has given us in this gripping tale and I was happily ensnared. It is an intense read that is full of mystery and tragedy, danger and suspense, corruption and action. There are some dark and heavy themes throughout so beware.
This story is so good that I am not leaving you with anything about it. It is fast paced and will have you hanging off every word and on the edge. The plot is cleverly woven with many masterful threads to bring it all together.
I am glad I stumbled across this author and I can’t wait to read the third book in this trilogy and uncover any remaining secrets.

This is by far the most captivating psychological thriller that I have read in a long time! I did not read the first book in this series, but I will be reading it now! Though Stumble and Fall does have connections to its predecessor, it can be read as a stand alone, which I appreciate. There is enough information to not feel lost so readers can jump right in and enjoy! Every page left me chewing fingernails anxiously awaiting what was coming next.

The story follows Kate, a counselor, and her sister Tilly, a nurse. Both girls have a traumatic and complicated background of their own. They have been through a lot and want to move forward with their lives while helping others in their own ways. The characters and their stories are deep and emotional. They each have their own unique background and story, but their lives intertwine beautifully. Kate reeled me in from page one, and I found myself invested in her success and happiness. I can not wait to get to know Kate and Tilly more.
