3.54 AVERAGE

4.5/5🌶️, audible plus, medieval paranormal, curvy and plain but competent virginal human FMC, grumpy and possessive wolf MMC, found family, fixing up a broken castle and traditionally minded wolf pack, very spicy.

I think this was one of Alice’s earlier works. It has all the hallmarks of her writing: grumpy, an alphahole MMC who falls HARD and an intelligent and capable but looked over FMC. It was fun to read a paranormal set in medieval times too. The sexy scenes were frequent. My only complaint was I wanted more. I almost wish Alice had turned this into a trilogy, maybe about the MMC’s brothers. But hey, I listened to this in a day and enjoyed it.

Alice Coldbreath never lets me down!!! A werewolf medieval romance I didn't know I needed?? The angsty grovelling and confession at the end hit SO GOOD 🥰🥰

Goddamnit I loved this! It may be a little rough around the edges but it's still Coldbreath through and through. Jorah's a meathead alpha that's in total denial just how fucking besotted he is with his new wife. Isolde might be a little naive but she's got a backbone and isn't scared to go toe-to-toe with her alpha husband. And it's hot as hell too, plenty of filthy sex scenes!

I wanted to love this book. The premise sounded amazingly fun. However, the main character was so stupidly ditzy it almost felt anti feminist. She is an agent of no action in the book, remains passive and shocked by just about everything. The MMC was just growling at everything and if I had to hear about the "wolf inside" one more time I was gonna scream.
