Real Life Love is a Christian Living book by author Michael Gibson. I wanted to read this book because of the title and it’s written by the grandson of bestselling family/marriage author Gary Smalley. The reason the author wrote this book is to share what worked for him and what didn’t. And, to pass on the wisdom he learned from his grandfather. (p# 11)
I was surprised to learn that anger can act out in other emotions: frustration, disappointment, heartbreak, fear, criticism, unmet expectations, and worry. As the author talks about emotions of anger, he also talks about how to overcome our anger.
The three main sections of this book are: (1) Growing in Love for Yourself, (2) Growing in Love for God, and (3) Growing in Love for Others.
Did this book meet my expectations? YES Would I recommend it? Yes, I plan to share it with my group at church.
