Brooke is an idiot and a terrible parent with no self preservation instincts whatsoever.
The motive for the murders was incredibly stupid and, again, because of Brooke’s dumb narrative voice everything just felt juvenile and convenient.

This was an amazing thriller. A great palette cleanser as well. The end shocked me when I thought it was going to be okay. It kept me entertained the entire time. The only thing I wish there was different was more characters/suspects. I kinda wish it was someone other than one of the people staying the night (at the farmhouse) but overall it was a great book.
