I just could not get into the writing style. If it was more atmospheric I probably would have been able to keep going.

From beginning to end, Crook’s brilliance led me on a journey that I couldn’t stop reading. With each chapter, I became enthralled by the characters and mystery behind Delilah’s experience. This novel, playing to all my emotions, lives up to the hype and is highly recommended. Can’t wait for more from this author!

I got this book as part of Amazon's First Reads and was pleasantly surprised. I'd say it's more about Brandon and Olivia's relationship than the mystery, but it still kept me so captivated, I struggled to put it down. It has some pretty brutal discussions of abuse though, which I can see being really triggering for some people.

DNF… I wanted to like it. It started out great. And then just fizzled from there.

Not for me.

Gave me “The Devil in Ohio” vibes but it was a good book. I like the semi paranormal aspect of it as well. Would love to have another one explaining who the family is or making a series of the different families apart of this cult
