Honestly this fell really flat for me. I really liked her prior series but the relationship just didn't good my attention and the conflict was annoying.

DID NOT FINISH: 55%

DNFed at 55%. The writing style is all dialogue no action. And I just didn’t care about the characters.

Sometimes you're just in the mood for a small-town romance, and this one scratched the itch.

This is a very sweet romance book with a lot of southern charm (which turns out is just not my cup of tea).  Story was cute but it was just too much sugar for me. I like a little more angst in my stories with undeniable chemistry.

“The Buy-In” is a tremendous romantic enemy-to-lover audiobook with excellent narration that brings the story to life wonderfully. Lindy and Pat have history, but it is not all sweetness and happiness for Lindy when fate throws them back together. However, she soon discovers that she may not want him, but she will need Pat if her family are to stay together.

Both Lindy and Pat are well-constructed characters, making them relatable and likeable. Throw in excellent secondary characters, and you have the making of an entertaining and engaging story. It is heart-warming and charming, it is hard not to invest in Lindy and Pat’s relationship, and I have not rooted for a couple as much as these for a while.

This story is the first in “The Graham Brothers” series, and I am intrigued to read/listen to more. This author has a very impressive back catalogue, which I hope to make my way through in the future.

I highly recommend “The Buy-In” to all romance genre fans in any format. I am incredibly grateful for this gifted copy by the author in exchange for an honest and voluntary review, and all opinions are my own.
