I first borrowed the Sandman books off a friend, as we swapped graphic novels, and now I’ve become sucked into the Sandman realm and cannot escape and not get enough of.
Moderate: Rape and Suicidal thoughts
Minor: Death

This was a mixed bag of single stories for me.
I forgot that volume three was like this to be honest. The writing is still well done and detailed and some things I understood now that I didn't when I first read this back when I was a kid. I knew that the "Calliope" wasn't a feel good story then but now I see the intricacies of it for what the story really is and just how similar a situation both Morpheus and Calliope had which led to them talking again. I still love "A midsummer Night's Dream" for the what if meeting between Morpheus and the Bard himself and a night to act in front of a fae court. Imagine all of those possibilities.
I still love the Vess style of illustration which sadly is only seen for one story but the one makes up for the art styling of the others to me.
