Not usually a fan of graphic novels, but this was excellent. Truly wish I had found a story like this when I was a 16yr old Catholic girl questioning my sexuality. I'm grateful these books are readily available for youth now.

Immediately engrossing. I read it in a single late-night sitting. Incredibly human and eager to prove just how complicated the process of self-discovery can be. Surprising in the expected and unexpected ways.

DNF at page 20-ish

I think I’m tired of the “I’m a white teenager and I went to a private school and/or my family is extremely religious so coming out is difficult” narrative — LGBTQ identities are so much more complex and diverse...

and so many LGBTQ peoples (especially people of color) will NEVER come out to their families either due to safety, stability, or just the active choice not to (i.e. For me, it wouldn’t be safe to come out BUT ALSO I’m fine with not coming out — I don’t need my family’s acceptance (and or complete rejection) to still be okay with who I am AND my relationship with them is fine by me still.)
