It’s pretty good but I was expecting a mystery and there really wasn’t much of a reveal … it does have a lot of heart and I really liked the characters though. some introductions of plot lines felt a little forced but I liked the flashbacks and forwards in general

I really enjoyed the book and it was narrated very well. The characters were lovable and I found myself wanting to learn more about them. The writer is brilliant at character development. This book is most about the  generational trauma that the characters experience. I found it powerful and would recommend.

A fun read ! The story starts a bit slow but picks up around a third of the book I would say. 
I was really invested in both timelines and almost every storyline, the characters can be a bit flat sometimes but I loved their dynamic. The only I didn’t really like is Jay for some reason, but I could relate a lot to Nina. 
A bit too much surfing for my taste though.
