I know that the case this book is based on has recently gained noteriety due to YouTuber coverage so I was interested to read this book. This book requires knowledge of Japanese history and it was difficult to follow along at times. I still enjoyed it, but I will need to reread this part before picking up part 2

This was just not for me. The language was incredible. But I found it immensely and insanely boring. I did not want to read it. I was never excited by it. Every time I opened it I wished I was reading something else. Anything else. But I persisted. I shouldn't have. It's just really really not my thing.
