This was just not for me. The language was incredible. But I found it immensely and insanely boring. I did not want to read it. I was never excited by it. Every time I opened it I wished I was reading something else. Anything else. But I persisted. I shouldn't have. It's just really really not my thing.

Definitely a book you have to stick with. If you need a book to immerse yourself in, ponder over and get involved with, this is the read for you. It is challenging and I found myself flicking back to the character list frequently, but the motives and clear characterisation really drive the story.
