Okay so I was super excited about this book. Love the idea, and just felt like it would be a new favorite of mine. So I was really confused when the book started and nothing was happening. I felt like for the first 60 pages I was just getting an info dump. And although I didn't mind it at first it started to get REALLY annoying. I kept thinking 'show me, don't tell me' over and over.

But regardless I was still really interested in the story, I liked the characters, I still like the ideas, and i was still interested in seeing how things went. And although I still had issues with the writing style, after the first part it switch to showing instead of just telling and I started to get into it and really enjoy it. I almost wonder if the book would have been better with the first 60 or so pages just cut, or condense down to 3-4 pages.

Basically the pacing of the book kinda sucked, it was was too SLOW and bogged down with information in the beginning and then it sort of sped up to be pretty quick at the end. Its started to feel like the author just wanted to be done with it and started rushing through the story.

There was kinda that misunderstanding thing that I usually don't like in romances but didn't bother me in this because it felt like such a small part of the book compared to the rest of it, and it was pretty understandable under the circumstances.

And all that being said, I still enjoyed the book. Soooo... I dunno, thats something I guess.

This just wasn't for me. Look, I love a silly lighthearted romance as much as the next guy. They are great pallete cleansers between the sadder books I really enjoy. This just didn't do anything for me. I didn't like the circumstances they got together, I didn't like the banter, and I didn't like that the man was a scrub but she's different. If your man can't respect all women bc they're people and deserving he's not gonna respect you as soon as he's not sexually attracted to you. Like I don't get the appeal of reforming a womanizer. You're no more a woman than the ones he took advantage of he's just a tired dog.

Yeah this just did nothing for me. I didn't kick my feet and giggle a single time.

Jesse Strong (and his brothers) are men who knit and going to see their mama's yarn shop succeed.

There's some language and close door scenes.

Really cute story with some great messaging about gender expectations, and really likeable characters.
