Okay guys, we have a LOT to talk about. Soooooooo, my first book from this author, eh. That’s my one word review: eh. I liked the mystery, and I could relate to Bel’s dark humor a lot.

(The Susan quote…… @_@)

Also, I totes ship Ash and Bel. They are SO cute together. But the one thing I will say is I didn’t like the ending.

They just were like, “yeah, FU, we wanna live life as a NoRmAl FaMiLy”. That’s not how you do it.

Who said young adult mystery can’t be as good as adult mystery?? I really liked this one - it kept me guessing through the end, and I really enjoyed the way the plot played out. I do feel like it went on a bit long towards the end, but I also appreciate a nicely tied up ending so I’m not too mad about it.

Though I wasn’t surprised by most of the twists, this book was so entertaining! If you’re looking for an easy, enjoyable mystery then this one is a great option!! I related so much to Belle and her protective and fighting spirit. And, my heart hurt so much for Rachel and the sacrifices that only a mother would make.

Definitely one of the best books I've ever read. The book is written from the perspective of a teenage girl, Bel, and the way some of her thought are written is very characteristic of a teenager. I though that was beautifully done. The mystery itself is also full of twists and turns, which I really enjoyed.
