12 US Presidents. One room in the White House and the role it playing in their Administrations. The Situation Room, The Sit Room, now known as WHSR, has been the setting of some of the most important decisions and discussions in world history. Former Senior Advisor to President Clinton and now journalist George Stephanopoulos researches and sits down with some of the major players who had a front row seat to the history made in that room. This room was first created during JFK's time and has changed and evolved in the past 60 years, and has been the centerpiece of the tough calls that every leader has had to address.

I tore through this book. I love presidential history, no matter the political party, and have been collecting signed presidential biographies for years. I find the thought processes and decision making skills of the most powerful people in the world fascinating and this book made me feel like I had a front row seat to those moments. I loved how Stephanopoulos crafted the story of the POTUS right alongside the staffers who kept this nerve center running 24/7. An absolutely fascinating read for anyone who is a fan of US History looking to see historic moments in a different way.

I liked this a lot. Listened to it and there are many recordings of actual events on here - voices like Condoleza Rice, etc. Really interesting to hear about the inner workings of one of the most fraught places in government.
