I very much enjoyed learning about how every president from JFK to present has utilized (or never used) The Sit Room, and learning more details about the crises handled in that department. It was nice to hear the insight from various interviews and memoirs. The author did fantastic research to make it as thorough and complete as possible.

Well, I know who I’m *not* voting for!
As a fairly apolitical person, I found this to be quite enjoyable, if only for the incredibly unique and chaotic stories found within - but that’s the entire book. I even listened to the interview at the end of the audiobook that recapped some of the stories told, because they were worth listening to again.
So many unsung heroes lie in these pages, and also assholes.
