Dickens had this incredible way of turning tragic tales into something truly beautiful. i don’t know if this story should be called heartwarming or heartbreaking. the bond between the brother and sister was sooo wholesome, but the way they dealt with grief is undeniably sorrowful.

Sad. It's amazing how dickins can make us feel sad for characters in such a short stories while most fail in long thick novels. Great read go for it

I started to read this without knowing anything about it. I just lost my grandpa two days ago and it is about death. It is sad but also beautiful and heartwarming. I am very glad I read the story especially in this time. I’ll wait for that reunion.

This novel beautifully discuses the passing of a child in a way that is heartwarming and full of easy comprehension. Truly a gorgeous tale, to be a star.

This is the first time that I read a short story written by Charles Dickens, and all I can say is, it's another side of him; the author who wrote about crimes and social corruption, showed a different kind of story and style. I'd not have known it's written by him had I not read that before starting with it.
