dark mysterious tense

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

What a great read to get me in the mood for spooky season! I loved the fast pacing and the Sherlock Holmes vibes. Audrey Rose is such a fierce heroine, and oh my goodness did Thomas steal my heart with his constant witty remarks. Maniscalco does a great job of world building—I could really imagine our fearless duo chasing clues around London in the 1800s—and I appreciated the strong feminist theme throughout. I definitely kept changing my mind on who I suspected the killer was, and loved the suspense this created. That ending was

świetny pomysł fatalne wykonanie; chyba jedynie Thomas coś tutaj ratuje

꒰⏳ ➸ Thomas Cresswell the man you are…And also Audrey Rose Wadsworth girl boss, she put everyone in their places!!

ᝰ.ᐟ So…I enjoyed it a lot but the beginning was boring tbh. But over time I started liking it a lot, especially since I'm interested in Jack the Ripper and other crimes. The relationship between Thomas and Audrey Rose was great, I love slow-burns.

¡! ❝ If you like crimes from years ago and romance, which is not the main plot, please read it, Audrey Rose and Thomas deserve popularity on Booktok. I definitely recommend!!

Wasn't a bad book. weirdly, I found myself often bored? all in all a decent mystery. the person who was the killer was a surprise for me.
