The problem with books that are around 200 pages is that there just isn't enough time (usually) to flesh out characters and relationship dynamics. As a result, the love is usually insta-love and that is not a favorite of mine. This is a perfect example of one of those books... and it's too bad because I think it had a good thing going for it. I liked the characters for the most part and the story line. Just wish it wasn't so fast.
I'm not sure why Alicia didn't realize that she was having major hormonal responses because she was pregnant and she decided in a few weeks that she was in love with Joe. The whole "we have to lie to Grandpa" reason for the charade was weak, but it was kind of pulled off. Grandpa was my favorite character by the way.

There were some light Christian mentions in this, but they didn't distract from the story too much.
Although it might explain why Joe was in a freaking panic that they get married (again... but whatever) as she was in labor. I mean he could have waited until she wasn't busy giving freaking birth to her first child to insist that they have another ceremony with Grandpa officiating. I thought "well maybe he was worried about the baby having his last name" but no.. they were already legally married. I don't know. It was weird.

Anway, it was a fun and very quick read. It's kind of forgettable though so I don't know that I'll even want to reread it.

Reread? eh.
