I was excited to read this book as I've seen a few comics online, which I loved. This book did not disappoint; it’s filled with a fun and unique assortment of comics. The comics ranged in topics from social awkwardness, the pandemic, pets, introverts, and more. Being both a millennial and an introvert, these comics related to me and made me smile. It was a nice pick-me-up and provided some much-needed comic relief.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing my review copy.

I've always been a fan of Sarah Andersen, I follow her Instagram account and read her previous books, so I was pretty ecstatic to read her fourth book. Oddball is a collection of her more recent artworks with some additional original content. Just as with her previous books, this is relatable humor to introverts and even extroverts. This book has a lot of cat content as well that I find extremely funny. I'm probably around the same age as the author, so most (if not all) of her comics speak to me on such a personal level. Even the fanfic-related comics felt too funny and close to my heart.
This book has a few contents regarding how this Covid-19 pandemic has changed us, especially introverts. It's drawn with jest but with a touch of seriousness which I like. I also like the content on being kind to oneself and others and appreciation of small wins.
If you enjoyed her previous books, you'd like these too!
Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC!

In the sea of uncertainty and anxiety these last almost 2 years have been, [a:Sarah Andersen|14144506|Sarah Andersen|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1450904865p2/14144506.jpg] is exactly what we need. She puts into images and witty words what I've been feeling day to day. She makes me laugh at my oddities and those I see around me and learn to love and appreciate them more. We're all unique and your tribe is out there. This made me laugh when I needed it most. I loved it!
A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

"Oddball (Sarah's Scribbles #4)" by Sarah Andersen is another incredible addition to her collection, reassuring readers that their quirks and peculiar behaviors are not unique. Sarah's ability to capture these relatable situations creates those delightful "wow" moments where you realize you're not alone in your eccentricities. This book is a heartfelt "thank you" for making us feel understood and connected through shared experiences.
I adore Sarah Anderson's comics, and I've been not so very patiently waiting for the fourth installment of the Sarah's Scribbles Collection. She speaks to my introverted soul.
What I love about this series is by now I know what to expect when I picked this up. I know Sarah Andersen's work on sight, I know the humor they will use, and I know I'm going to laugh. So I always get excited when I see she has another collection coming out. Each one has been fun and it pokes fun at things that a lot of us deal with daily.
Do I relate to everything in the book? No, but I can still see the humor in it. I can see how Sarah pulls from her own life when she's drawing each little comic. And, I enjoy that.
I love the kind of art Sarah Andersen puts in these books. It's got that newspaper cartoon feel to it that speaks to my childhood when I use to love reading the funny pages in my grandad's newspaper. Andersen has held onto that style for four books now, and I can pick out characters at this point that she's used throughout the series. So there is cohesion there even though each page is episodic in a way. No story lasts more than a couple of pages, which makes the books easy to read.
From start to finish I enjoyed this installment as much as the others. I went into it expecting to laugh, and I did just that. Worth my wait for both the release date and for it to finally arrive at my local library. I always suggest these to friends when they want a fun quick read. And this one came at the best time. I'm reading a very depressing book, and this was a nice little pick me up that I needed!
